To Protect and Infect! That's what it should say o.n every face mask made. Kind of like the cigarette warnings o.n the side of the package. I noticed that I was getting a small pimple o.n my cheek, then two? Then my other cheek got one!!! And don't even ask m.e explain my dirt filled nose pores. I was expecting a large eruption there at any given moment. A.l.l this began a few weeks ago. Say, 5 or 6? Possibly right after I went back t.o work full time, wearing a mask day. A mask that was usually soaked in sweat an hour after I started work each day. I knew where they were coming from, what I didn't know is that this disease has a name: MASKNE. From the English word: Mask, "a face covering, not including the eyes". And the Latin: ACNE, "zit, pimple, 3rd eye, Jupiter". If you are infected, have no fear, we are not alone. This has been a problem for 1st responders from early on. It is a combination of heat and humidity with the mask irritating the skin, termed ACNE MECHANICA. So combine irritated skin and humid human fungi in a damp facial petri dish and voila!!! Pizza Face!! The facial skin of the human species is not capable of withstanding infection from what is basically DUCK BUTTER. You know,"The combination of sweat from the ballsack and anus that creates a buttery film on the grundle and butthole.". Or GOOSE CHEESE, the female version of DUCK BUTTER. That's what's growing there. So experts say wash your face twice a day, using only your fingertips, and do not wear a mask within 30 mins of applying make u.p or lotions. And most important, just remember, that good looking person you just passed in the frozen food section, has God knows what growing under that mask. It could be swamp ass!!  |

Yikes - I had no idea. When I wear one on public transit or to go grocery shopping, almost immediately, I get a runny nose, my glasses fog up and my ears itch. I can't imagine what it's like having to wear one during a full work shift!

Thank you so much (not really) for teaching me the 'proper' terms for groin sweat. I'm curious now, is there one for underboob sweat? Also, thank you so much (really) for giving me another reason for enjoying retirement. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I had dinner then I read this about the various stuff that occupies peoples crotches. Thank you  amp;When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I worked in surgery for a few years after college and learned early one that masks, to be positively effective, must be replaced every hour or sooner depending on your activity level. Masks trap all sorts of nasty airborne shit, not just viruses and micro-organisms. It doesn't take long to negatively effect your health.

Just another routine to incorporate into the daily, mask washing and extra face washing/moisturizing...to go along with the now already incorporated handwashing/sanitizing. Lovely....this new normal ~~

Seems like going to a public restroom every hour or so just increases ur change of being infected with the virus! Hmmmmmm!

Thankfully, my face isn't breaking out from all my mask wearing.... It's been a couple of months now. The company I work for has actually added links to our intranet and put a public service announcement on our musac to give us tips on avoiding acne from prolonged mask wearing. I have been using a charcoal/clay composite wash off mask to remove the impurities from my skin. It's pretty scary looking. LOL

I have seen this happening to a lot of first responders, and essential workers. It sucks and great advice on washing your face a couple of times a day. I hope things clear up soon for you. OMG....you might want to spend a few dollars to get a new tube of that stuff! It's possible you could wind up with something worse than the Maskne from using a product that old. Ewww...

like I needed to add another unpleasant thing in my adult life! Acne, never any fun but whether I believe a mask will protect me or you I am not taking any chances! I wear every time I go out to any one place. I just recently ordered 2 more new ones. Stay safe handsome
